The NFC is probably going to be won by the Seattle Seahawks or the New Orleans Saints right? What about the Green Bay Packers (5-2)? The Packers looked pretty good in last nights 44-31 victory over Minnesota. It is easy to say the Vikings are just a struggling team, but don’t take anything away from Mike McCarthy’s men.
Randall Cobb may be missing from the Packers starting roster but they don’t seem to be feeling his absence right now. Eddie Lacy is a big contender for rookie of the year. Much of the talk this year has been about the Denver Broncos offense but Aaron Rodgers is a high quality QB. The Green Bay offense is also complimented by the likes of WR’s Jordy Nelson, James Jones and RB James Starks. It is no surprise that they have the second best ranked offense in the NFL.
Rookie CB Micah Hyde demonstrated that the defense have abilities to make important plays too with is 93 yard touchdown in last night’s “W”.
In what is turning out to be a fascinating season of football, don’t be surprised if Green Bay are lining up in New Jersey for Super Bowl XLVIII come February.
